Our Origins 

Like everything in the world, Tools & Printers owes its existence to something that came before. The founders’ parents met each other in 1994 while working for a technology startup in Orlando, Florida. Eventually, that company would grow into one of the largest 3D printing and scanning companies in the world, but at the time, it was an agile, scrappy firm that faced serious challenges in getting its unique diagnostic scanning technology to the market. 

Long before we created Tools & Printers, our parents instilled in us from an early age a deep love for science and technology. They would come home from working with advanced additive manufacturing and scanning systems and tell us stories about what their company was doing and how it was going to revolutionize the world and help people live happier lives. We wanted to be a part of that story. Tools & Printers grew out of that passion, inspired by our parents, by that growing Orlando-based printing/scanning company, and our own curiosity and sense of wonder. 

Even today, years later, that sense of wonder and curiosity is at the core of who we are both personally and professionally. We remain dedicated to delivering the highest-quality 3D printing systems, tools, and accessories to our customers, but we also focus on engineering and technology in our personal lives – our father is a CAD designer, one of the founders is an engineer, and both of us value STEM-based education for our sons and daughters.
